Darth Malgus

Darth Malgus Overview

From: Official Holonet Database

In the modern history of the Sith Empire, Darth Malgus stands out as a curiosity. As a fierce frontline warrior in his early years, Malgus took an alien lover, treating her more as a wife than a slave. She served at his side during his most successful campaigns, including the destruction of the Jedi Temple on Coruscant. He employed mercenaries from species long thought untrustworthy and learned dozens of languages.

Most unusually, Darth Malgus walked away from the power games of the Empire after the Treaty of Coruscant. As top-ranking Sith fought to control the armies and resources that traditionally lead to seats on the Dark Council, Darth Malgus led military expeditions into the Unknown Regions, claiming new territories and furthering the influence of the Empire as a whole.

Often a dissenting voice on policy issues, Malgus nevertheless can be counted on to take orders and has no power base to speak of. This combination has kept even those Sith who hate his constant calls for change from moving against him.

Darth Malgus was a Human male Sith Lord of the Sith Empireduring the Great Galactic War. He was born under the nameVeradun within Imperial space, and raised by his adoptive father. While still young, Veradun killed a Twi’lek servant on his father’sestate, revealing the dark will behind his sensitivity to the Force. The young boy was subsequently sent to the Sith Academy on the Imperial capital of Dromund Kaas, where he became a Sith Warriorand a successful commander of the Imperial Military. During a trip to the Outer Rim world of Geonosis, Veradun discovered the Twi’lekslave girl Eleena Daru and took her as his own. Although she was technically his slave, the two fell in love with one another and fought side by side in many battles during the Great Galactic War against the Galactic Republic. Veradun later eschewed his birth name and adopted the Sith moniker of Darth Malgus.

In the beginning, Malgus and his Master Vindican had led thevictorious recapture of the Sith world Korriban, before the former struck down the latter for being injured at the hands of Jedi MasterKao Cen Darach. At the height of the war, Malgus led a surprise assault on the Core World of Alderaan; though initially successful, Malgus and his forces were defeated in a concentrated Republic counterattack led by his nemesis from Korriban, future Grand MasterSatele Shan. The Sith Lord was heavily wounded during the battle, and was forced to wear a respirator for the remainder of his life. In3,653 BBY, the Empire entered into sham peace negotiations with the Republic, which were truthfully nothing more than a distraction from the Sith’s true target: the Republic capital of Coruscant. Malgus was chosen by his superior Darth Angral to participate in the attack on Coruscant as the leader of a strike team that would invade the Jedi Temple. Malgus succeeded in killing a substantial number of Jedi defenders—includingJedi Master Ven Zallow, who became Malgus’s most notable kill—before the Sith fleet arrived to lay waste to the rest of the world. By the end of the engagement, the Sith had destroyed the Jedi Temple, killed half of the members of the Jedi High Council, and disgraced the Jedi Order in the eyes of the Republic.

    SWTRO wise:
All of the Sith Warrior powers, with the Juggernaut advanced class.

Powers in D20 Star Wars Saga:
From what you see in the two videos with him in I’d say his force powers are: Force Serge, light-sabre Throw, Force Push, Rebuke and Rage. You could give him more but I’d be tempted to leave it as is… maybe give him Force Grip as that’s got to be in there somewhere it just goes with the style if you ask me.

I’d say he wouldn’t have much more than that as he clearly has mastered light-sabre combat over mastery of the force. So I’d also assume that most of his Talents would be spent in light-sabre combat/forms and alike to give him mastery in this area.
