Renowned for her wisdom and powerful connection to the Force, Master Satele Shan is the voice and conscience of the Jedi Order. She is a direct descendant of Bastila Shan, the legendary Jedi who battled Darth Revan centuries ago. Unlike her brash and arrogant ancestor, Master Satele—who prefers being addressed by her first name—possesses a warm demeanor and approachable personality. This relaxed and unassuming attitude belies her true strength and determination. Master Satele is a veteran warrior who has repeatedly confronted the power of the dark side and survived.

Master Satele bravely fought the resurgent Sith Empire when she was a Padawan, playing a key role in several major battles during the last war. She cemented her position among the Jedi when she rediscovered the long-lost world of Tython and helped found a new Jedi Temple there to replace the one destroyed on Coruscant. Since the Republic signed the Empire’s treaty, Master Satele has worked tirelessly to preserve that fragile peace, preventing multiple attempts to reignite the conflict. However, Master Satele knows all too well that light and dark cannot coexist forever. A new war with the Sith looms on the horizon—and this time the Jedi must be victorious.

Satele Shan was a Human female who served as a Jedi during theGreat Galactic War between the Galactic Republic and the resurgent Sith Empire. She is also a descendent of the great Jedi KnightBastila Shan who fought against Darth Revan and Darth Malakduring the Jedi Civil War.

During the start of the Great Galactic War, Shan participated in several major battles on behalf of the Republic during the war, and studied under a number of Jedi Masters, including the TogrutaDar’Nala. As a Padawan in 3,681 BBY, she was an apprentice toZabrak Master, Kao Cen Darach, during the Fall of Korriban. They both fought against Malgus and Vindican until Kao would remain behind and letting Satele to warn the Republic about the sith’s return. Feeling her master’s death at the hands of Malgus, Satele was able to deliver the news to the Jedi Order and the Republic. After achieving Knighthood, Shan played a pivotal role in the struggle for the Core World of Alderaan, which had come under a devastating attack from the Sith Lord Darth Malgus. In a confrontation in the forests of Alderaan, Shan engaged Darth Malgus and was defeated by the Sith Lord, but with the assistance of the Commander Jace Malcom she was able to dispatch him. Near the end of the war, Satele led forces on Rhen Var alongside many powerful Jedi to defeat Darth Mekhis and her sith forces.
